New Zealand dressage rider Shiwon Green has finished sixth in her first offshore competition, on the first day of the Australian Dressage Championships.
Riding Gosh, Green put up a score of 60.105 in yesterday's FEI Intermediate II Championship at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
The winner of the class of 19 starters was Heath Ryan (New South Wales) and Regardez Moi, with a score of 64.421, with Gitte Donvig (Victoria) on Port Said 10 and Nadia Coghlan (NSW) on Northern Camion sharing second place with on 62.842.
Third went to Lesley-Anne Taylor (NSW) on Weltklassse with a score of 61.842. Mary Hanna (Vic) had a great ride on Umbro which would have put her in first place, but she was disqualified on technical grounds.
The competition was the first at the championships, and was held in the indoor arena.
Today Green will compete with Gosh in the Goldin Grand Prix CDI-W at 12.45pm (NSW time). Judges are: E - Evi Eisenhardt (GER), H - Helen Hughes-Keen (NZL), C - Anne Gribbons (USA), M - Virginia Creed (AUS), and B- Maria Schwenessen (AUS). |
