WEROMBI Olympian Shane Rose will head a star-studded field at the 2010 Australian International 3 Day Event (AI3DE) starting on Friday in Adelaide.

The Beijing silver medallist and 2009 AI3DE CIC** winner will compete alongside the likes of defending national three-day champion and Olympic gold medallist Stuart Tinney, another Olympic gold medallist Wendy Schaeffer, 2008 AI3DE CIC**** winner Christopher Burton and World Cup Pacific League dressage champion and Olympian Heath Ryan.

Four riders from New Zealand will also compete in Adelaide.

The AI3DE is Australia’s premier equestrian event, one of only six of its kind in the world and the only one in the southern hemisphere.

The annual event covers three disciplines over three days - dressage, cross-country and show jumping.

It is the world’s only major equestrian event staged in a city centre.

Rose has had a busy schedule in the past couple of months as he starts preparations to give himself every chance to qualify for the 2010 London Olympics.
